Questions regarding functionality:
What is a hit exchange?
Hit exchanges are used to advertise your website. It is simply a lot of people who sign up as members, list their websites, and then spend time viewing (surfing) each others' websites. While surfing other websites, you earn "hit" credits. These hits allow your site to go into circulation so that other surfing members will see your site. To earn a hit for your site, you must either surf two other member's sites (it's called a 2:1 ratio) or purchase hits.
How do I surf?
To surf, you simply log on to Bionic Hits (after becoming a member) and click on the surf button. This opens a window which is controlled by Bionic Hits. After that, you wait for the timer to count down 6 seconds, and then click on the "next" button. That's how the surfing works.
Is Bionic Hits a manual hit exchange?
Yes. Bionic Hits has no automatic surfing functionality. This provides our members with quality advertising.
Is there a minimum surfing requirement?
Yes. In order to activate an account, each member must surf an initial 20 sites. This first surfing experience can sometimes run slower than normal. Once the initial 20 sites have been surfed, the account is active and no additional surfing is ever required to stay active.
Where do the hits come from?
They come from users like you. Users can earn hits in 3 ways. The first is by surfing other members' sites through a link we provide. Second, you can earn hits by getting referrals. A referral is someone you have given your special link (we provide you with the link) and the referral signs up using it. That referral is put in your downline (you can read about downlines below). Third, you can purchase hits. The more hits you buy, the more inexpensive they are.
How many members does Bionic Hits have?
The number of members increases every day. As of January 2012, Bionic Hits has approximately 11,600 members.
What type of sites are allowed?
We are a family friendly site. We do not allow any sites that may be offensive or unsuitable for younger children. Sites with links or banners to unsuitable material are also prohibited. Sites that break out of the Bionic Hits surfing frames, or have more than one pop-up are not permitted. Any users found advertising such sites may have their accounts closed or fined hit credits. Please visit our Terms and Conditions page for more information.
How do you control the kind of sites that are seen on Bionic Hits?
Sites that are breaking our Terms and Conditions are detected in two ways. First, the management of Bionic Hits periodically spends time surfing to find problems. Second, and most importantly, our surfing members can report any site they suspect is breaking our terms and conditions. This is done through a link on our surf bar that says "Report this Site".
When surfing, how long do I need to stay on each site?
15 seconds. This should allow enough time for the site to load and for you to see if it is something you are interested in.
How many sites can I list?
Up to 5 sites. When you have hits available, these sites will be shown randomly to our surfing members. Make sure all of your sites meet our current Terms and Conditions to avoid having your account paused.
Do you have other advertising opportunities?
Yes we do. There is banner and text advertising available. You can convert credits into ipressions and submit 5 banners and 5 text ads to assign these impressions to.
What is a downline and how do I build it?
A downline is when you refer someone, and that person refers someone, and that person refers someone, etc. Even though you did not refer the last person, or even the second to last person, they are linked to you by someone you referred. This downline will not build itself, you need to refer at least one person to get it started, and that person must refer someone as well. The more you refer, the bigger your downline will be and the more people will see your site. To Build a downline, submit your Bionic Hits referral link to other hit exchanges, post your links on acceptable message boards, or simply tell your friends to sign-up through your link.
How many hits will I earn from my referrals?
As a Free Member, you receive 1 credit for every 10 credits your direct referrals earn. Pro Members get even more rewards. Login to get the details.
How many accounts can I have?
We allow one account per person only.
How will you use my email address?
All members must supply a valid email address (no auto responders) that will be confirmed before you membership can be completed. All members of Bionic Hits agree to receive regular email contact from Bionic Hits. Bionic Hits guarantees that your email address will never be sold or shared or used by or for anyone other than Bionic Hits. These emails and newsletters will inform you of all important promotions, changes, contest results, and account information or news.
Why do I need to see 20 sites before my account can be activated?
This exchange is for people who wish to actively promote their websites, by seeing other sites you are helping Bionic Hits deliver traffic.
If I purchase hits do I still have to surf the initial 20 times?
Yes, this is required of everyone to ensure the success of the program.
How long will it take to use all my hits?
This depends on the number of people actively surfing and how much they surf. Bionic Hits can not guarantee how fast hits will be used. Periodically, Bionic Hits will hold surfing promotions that markedly increase the amount and speed hits are used.
Do I have to keep surfing every once in a while to keep my site active?
No, once you have surfed the initial 20 your account will be activated. But, the more you surf the more hit credits you earn.
Can I purchase hits?
Yes, in the member's area is a place where you can purchase more hits at a very reasonable price. To purchase hits, please visit this link: Buy Hits.
What kind of payments do you accept.
Currently, Bionic Hits accepts payments through PayPal and AlertPay. Accounts are easily and securely created and maintained through PayPal and AlertPay. New payment methods may be added in the future.
I forgot my password and/or username, what do I do?
Start by going into the member's area, when it asks for your username and password, click the link that says "Lost Password". They will be emailed to the email address you provided us with.
My account is paused. How do I get my account unpaused?
Accounts are paused for a number of reasons - read the Bionic Hits Terms and Conditions for a list of things to avoid so that your account will not be paused again in the future. When you log onto Bionic Hits, a message will notify you that your account has been paused. A short explanation from the Bionic Hits management will explain the problem. Simply correct the problem and then submit a request to be unpaused. If you have specific concerns or questions, please contact Bionic Hits via email so that we can help you resolve the problem.
My account was paused because of an email problem. How do I resolve this?
Every member of Bionic Hits must have a valid email that can receive messages from the management. Several common problems with your email may have caused your account to be paused. No auto responders permitted. Your email inbox may be full. Sometimes your email may stop or bounce our messages back to Bionic Hits because it suspects us as spam. Make sure you have put Bionic Hits on your safe list to avoid this problem.
How do I cancel my Bionic Hits Account?
